Terms of service
Vault-12 Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Vault-12 website and any purchase made through it.
By accessing this website, creating an order, or purchasing from Vault-12, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.
1. About Vault-12
Vault-12 is an independent clothing brand operating in the United Kingdom.
References in these Terms to “Vault-12”, “we”, “us” or “our” refer to the seller operating the Vault-12 online store.
References to “you”, “your” or “customer” refer to the person using the website or purchasing goods from us.
2. Website Use
You may use this website only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website
- Introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful material
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or associated systems
- Use automated systems to scrape, copy or extract website content without permission
- Use the website for fraudulent or unlawful activity
- Impersonate another person or provide false information
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website where we reasonably believe misuse, fraud, abuse or unlawful activity has occurred.
3. Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, photographs, specifications, colours, sizes and other information are accurate.
However, colours displayed on screens can vary between devices and settings. Minor differences between digital images and physical garments may therefore occur.
Measurements may also vary slightly due to manufacturing tolerances.
Such minor variations do not affect any rights you may have where goods are faulty, materially different from their description or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal standards.
4. Artwork and Print Variation
Vault-12 products may feature detailed printed artwork.
Minor variations in colour, placement, texture or appearance can occur as a normal consequence of garment manufacturing and printing processes.
Where these variations are minor and do not materially affect the quality, description or intended use of the product, they will not normally be treated as defects.
This does not affect your statutory rights where an item is faulty or not as described.
5. Product Availability
All products are subject to availability.
Many Vault-12 products may be produced in limited quantities.
Adding an item to your basket does not reserve it.
We may limit quantities purchased by an individual customer where reasonably necessary, including where we believe products are being purchased primarily for unauthorised commercial resale.
6. Orders
Submitting an order through the website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected goods.
An automated acknowledgement of your order does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of your order or dispatch the goods, depending on the ordering process used by the store.
We reserve the right to reject or cancel an order before acceptance where reasonably necessary, including where:
- An item is unavailable
- There is an obvious pricing or product-description error
- Payment cannot be authorised
- Fraud or suspicious activity is identified
- Delivery cannot reasonably be completed
- The customer has provided incomplete or inaccurate information
If payment has already been taken for an order that we cancel, the appropriate amount will be refunded.
7. Prices
All prices displayed on the website are stated in pounds sterling unless otherwise indicated.
The total price payable, including applicable delivery charges and taxes, will be shown before the order is completed.
We may change prices at any time, but price changes will not normally affect orders already accepted.
Where an obvious and genuine pricing error occurs, we are not obliged to supply goods at an obviously incorrect price where the error should reasonably have been apparent.
8. Payment
Payment must be made using an available payment method shown at checkout.
You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
Orders may be delayed, refused or cancelled where payment is declined, reversed, flagged as potentially fraudulent or otherwise cannot be verified.
9. Delivery
Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.
Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where the law requires delivery within a particular period, those legal requirements will apply.
10. Risk and Ownership
Responsibility for the goods passes to you in accordance with applicable law.
Ownership of goods will not pass until full payment has been received.
11. Returns and Refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
For eligible online purchases, customers may have statutory cancellation rights.
Vault-12 does not provide additional return or exchange rights beyond those stated in the Returns & Refund Policy unless we expressly agree otherwise.
12. Change-of-Mind Returns
Where statutory cancellation rights apply, you must exercise them within the legally required period.
Customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning change-of-mind purchases where stated in our Returns & Refund Policy.
Returned goods may be inspected.
Where goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, and that handling has reduced their value, we reserve the right to make any deduction permitted by law.
13. Exchanges
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Vault-12 does not operate a standard exchange service.
Where a different size or product is required, the customer should return the eligible item in accordance with the Returns & Refund Policy and place a new order.
Stock availability cannot be guaranteed.
14. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
If goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us promptly.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights relating to faulty goods or goods that do not conform to their description.
Where applicable, we will provide the remedy required by law.
15. Limited Releases
Some Vault-12 products may be marketed as limited releases, archives or restricted-production items.
We do not guarantee that a sold-out product will be restocked.
The limited nature of a product does not remove any statutory consumer rights.
16. Promotions and Discount Codes
Discount codes and promotional offers:
- Must be used according to their stated conditions
- Have no cash value
- Cannot normally be exchanged for cash
- May be limited to one use per customer or order
- May exclude particular products or collections
- May be withdrawn or amended before use where reasonably necessary
Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined.
We may cancel or refuse promotional use where we reasonably believe a code has been obtained, shared or used fraudulently or contrary to its stated terms.
17. Gift Cards and Store Credit
Where offered, gift cards and store credit are subject to any additional terms displayed at purchase or issue.
They cannot normally be exchanged for cash except where required by law.
18. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Vault-12 name, branding, logos, product designs, garment layouts, photographs, graphics, website design, written content and other original materials appearing on the website are owned by or licensed to Vault-12.
You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works from Vault-12 intellectual property without prior written permission.
Purchasing a product does not transfer any intellectual-property rights to the purchaser.
19. Artwork Featured on Products
Certain Vault-12 collections may incorporate historic or public-domain artwork.
Vault-12 does not claim ownership of underlying public-domain works.
However, Vault-12 may hold rights in its own original garment layouts, edits, presentation, photography, branding, composition and other creative elements added to those works.
20. Unauthorised Resale and Brand Representation
Purchasing a Vault-12 product does not authorise a customer to represent themselves as an authorised Vault-12 retailer, distributor, agent or representative.
You must not use Vault-12 branding in a way that falsely suggests an official commercial relationship.
Nothing in this clause prevents lawful resale of genuine goods where such resale is permitted by law.
21. Customer Accounts
Where customer accounts are available, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information.
You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless caused by circumstances outside your reasonable control.
We may suspend or close accounts reasonably suspected of fraud, abuse or misuse.
22. Reviews, Comments and User Content
If you submit reviews, photographs, comments or other content to Vault-12, you confirm that you have the right to submit that material.
You must not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, fraudulent, infringing or malicious.
We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary.
Where you expressly permit us to repost or use customer-created content for promotional purposes, any agreed permission will apply according to the terms communicated at the time.
23. Third-Party Services
The website may rely on or link to third-party services, including payment processors, delivery providers, social-media platforms and Shopify applications.
We are not responsible for independent third-party websites or services outside our control.
Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
24. Fraud and Chargebacks
We take payment fraud seriously.
We may retain appropriate transaction, order and delivery evidence where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud or respond to payment disputes.
Customers should contact Vault-12 promptly if they believe a payment or order issue has occurred before initiating a chargeback where reasonably possible.
Nothing in this section prevents a customer from exercising legitimate rights through their bank, card issuer or payment provider.
25. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
In particular, we do not exclude or limit liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot lawfully be excluded
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Faulty goods where liability cannot lawfully be excluded
- Goods that are not as described
- Any other liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded
Subject to applicable consumer law, Vault-12 will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where you purchase goods wholly or mainly for business purposes rather than as a consumer, different legal rights and limitations may apply.
26. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, transport disruption, courier interruption, industrial action, widespread technical failure, fire, flood, government restrictions or similar events.
Where such an event affects an order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.
27. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using the website, you acknowledge that personal information may be processed as reasonably necessary to operate the store, fulfil orders, process payments, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
28. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The version applicable to a purchase will normally be the version in force when the relevant order was placed.
Material changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired under an existing contract.
29. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply so far as legally possible.
30. No Waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we have permanently waived our right to enforce it.
31. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
32. Contact
Questions regarding these Terms of Service should be directed to Vault-12 using the contact details provided on our website.
