Corridor In The Asylum

Part of the Vault-12 Historic Art Collection — Archive 01, this T-shirt features Corridor in the Asylum by Vincent van Gogh, created in September 1889 during his stay at Saint-Paul-de-Mausole in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.

The work captures the long interior corridor of the asylum in vivid yellow, green, red and blue tones, with the repeating arches drawing the eye deep into the composition. Van Gogh transformed an otherwise stark institutional space into something expressive and intensely personal, using colour, line and perspective to create a strong sense of movement and atmosphere.
